So after spending a little time with his mom and sister, I got to talk to him for a minute after the tourny. We just emailed back and forth pretty much I said thank your parents for being patient with all us fans, and thanked him and the team for doing what they do, and so on. anyway the first email he sent back this was his response,

He seems pretty stoked about K-state I do not think we will have to worry about his verbal!

Keep in mind you are considered by the NCAA to be a K-State athletic booster, so be cognizant of the type of contact you can have with potential K-State student athletes.

A good rule of thumb is watch the closest ku athletic booster and then do the exact opposite.

Was going to offer to take the family out to eat since we hit it off like we did, I did not do this as I was not sure how that would affect him, I am just talking to him and his family, I am making no offers for anything, just telling him how much we enjoyed the tourny and his family, believe me I am not going to do anything to ruin this kids future, and I do not go to K-State I am still considered a booster? That sucks I won't be at k-state until my junior year when I transfer up there, I should not be a booster yet. But I understand the rules, and just like I said before there is no way I ruin any kids future, with the team or otherwise!

You should be fine, but it doesn't take being enrolled at KSU to give players benefits or be seen as doing so.  Any fan, especially one sitting front row wearing ksu jersey and hat could be considered affiliated with the school.  Just don't hand him a wad of 20's.

Sidenote:  I bet Beasley would've told the same thing to a Charlotte fan, fwiw.  As goes Dalonte, so goes the assault connection.  He's not going to tell you if he's not happy.  That being said, all the players seemed contents while here.
