restricted to recruits that have been at some point linked to ksu.

my version:

2008

evans
kilpatrick

2009

judge
mcgruder
philmore
reid

2010 would then be set up with needs at the 1 and 5, but i prefer that than taking those spots in 09.

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

just 2s and 4s?  i hope not.  IMO, dixon is the biggest remaining target for the 09 class.

its very possible our corps of big men would be bowman, colon, samuels, anderson and judge.  why throw philmore in there?  if we do go after another big man outside of judge, i'd prefer it to be someone 6-10 and up.

I would like either, I think Philmore would fill the back court out nicely.  We would need a 1 after Clemente leaves, though.

which riley? f. or d.?  i would assume ksu has very little chance at d.  and probably not a lot of interest in f., assuming he even opens up.

i think it is very difficult to recruit a high quality point to come in behind 2 junior 1s.  for that reason, i'd wait on a point recruit until 2010.  backing up pullen and clemente for a year and then taking over as a soph is a much more realistic sell, imo.

i really, really like philmore, he's versatile and can score.  he would be a great complement to judge.  powell could fill the same role (hoskins/walker type forward), but i like philmore better.

but if you do take bowman in '08, then yeah you probably don't add another big in '09.

d.  I'm not sure how high our odds might be, but I'd like a big body in there somewhere (not Hererra).

Clemente will be a SR and Pullen a JR when Dixon is a frosh.

So he'd get no playing time?  Good pitch.  I think Jake's senior year you can get a guy sold on coming in an playing pure point, but with those two it will be tough to convince anyone that they'll see the floor.

Everyone gets PT for Frank Martin.  Just the way he rolls.

But the scrubs he put in were normally upperclassmen.  What will happen when Clemente and Pull are taking 25 minutes apiece (Pull alternating at the 2) would this kid get enough Pt to make him want to come here?

Kilpatrick will be a better long term guy, but McDonald has length.

you're right, my bad.  that makes the situation slightly more appealing, but i still think it's a tough sell.  so, i'd take the mediocre 2008 wing rather than the mediocre 2009 point i think they could pull.  dc assault has some interesting '10 1s too, iirc.

not really.  doesn't seem horrible.  nor does kilpatrick seem great.  i just like kilpatrick a little better because he appears to be a more accomplished shooter/scorer.  even with taking evans in the same class, ksu needs guys that can shoot.

mcdonald, oth, would make gilbert completely irrelevant.  even martin wouldn't be able to find a reason to stick gilbert in with sutton and mcdonald available.  so, that is a big positive.

Well, if he's looking for a situation that he can come in and start right away, we're obviously out of luck.  I have no idea if that is the case or not with Dixon.  Surely he'd get SOME pt though...hell Chris Merriewether started 5 games this year.   :frown:
