Tech rolls with screens, screens, and more screens. It's all they do. So Frank decides to play man for 90% of the game. Notice how their production went down when KSU went to a 3-2 zone? It's O.K. Frank didn't either.

I was thinking about this too.  You have a motion offense that relies on creating separation with endless screens.  Playing man defense plays right into its hands when they are shooting well because they are constantly having to fight through screen after screen and eventually you give up separation.  A zone would render that kind of offense much less effective because guys just cover their area.  It was really confusing why we didn't switch to zone after they started hitting the mid-range and perimeter jumpers.
Show me defense.

So we lose a game on the road and all of a sudden Frank worries you?  Where were you when we beat ku? Were you worried then or were you jumping on the bandwagon?

Tech had the same type of offense last year and they scored 62 pts on us in Manhattan and 45 in the Big 12 tourney.

We don't defend on the perimeter as good as last year, and maybe we could have done a few things different, but to question Martin is pretty funny because of one game

Poor Stew had a rough night.  He got beat whoever he was guarding.  He'll bounce back though.

we played man on them last year in the big 12 tourney and they scored 45 and that was a much better Tech team.   Teams have stopped them all year long in man.  We just played very very poorly on defense and it wouldn't have mattered what type of D we were in.  We need to all face the facts that this team is flat terrible on the road.  We all thought the Xavier game was a fluke but really the OU game was a fluke.  Other then that we've been consistently bad on the road we'll lose to almost anyone and a good team will roll it up on us.  On the road we:

-don't defend anyone
- turn the ball over way too much
- take bad shots from the wrong people in the wrong spots
- shoot free throws poorly
- get rattled and start pissing at the refs and each other

We are not a comptitivie big 12 team on the road hard to believe we were in first place two different times during the season.

not even considering the game... the "retraction" and bowing at the feet of the male-dominating lesbian nazi's bothers me... nice effort frank!   scream incessantly at the freshman but run like a little girl from the feminists
