What Coach Martin can do with Beasley during the season is find ways to maximize his talent in novel ways.

Something like, getting him 10 more offensive posessions when in early foul trouble, as a random example.

I think Frank's done a good job at improving offensive spacing (of the entire team).

That's a quasi-skill imo.

Any real skills (like go-to moves, improved shooting, dramatically improved ball handling) would be difficult to develop during a D1 college season.  Frank may have improved Mike on some of these skills in the off season, but we would have likely seen the results beginning with Sac. St.  JMO

Quality post.

It's the coaches job to capitalize on our players skills and find mismatches (particularly enjoyed when walker had the white guy on him in the post and beaz making the entry pass) Also, coaches need to give certain players a little bit of freedom to create, imho.

There's not enough time for coaches to focus on players individual skills during the season, Frank is more concerned with putting in new sets on offense and defense, scouting, radio show etc.

If Beasley were to have met Frank Martin for the first time yesterday 30 minutes before tip, would he have had the same game?

no.
