netbuffers make some solid long-term points (look around, no one post says it all).

"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

Ah yes, the old CU "we're too good a school to recruit good players" bit.  Seems like the "high academic standards" argument has been employed by at least ku, Mizzou, CU, UT, A&M,  and Baylor that I can think of.  But we all know that the average netbuffs poster would cut their nuts off and pluck out at least one eye for a shot at having a player like Beasley on their squad for even one season.

probably not.  unless they thought they could turn him into a tight end once they had him on campus.

CU's athletes are set up for LIFE if they leave with a degree.

KSU's are not.

I am willing to be that some of our athletes* will make more money in the next five years than 98% of CU's graduates.

good god, my bbiq went down just from reading a couple threads over there.  I like the one saying that the team will suck next year without Walker and Beasley  :jerkoff:

Awesome find, btw.  Very entertaining stuff.

I kinda wish we had awesome academics to fall back on when we lose, though.  Oh well.  After reading Big 12 message boards for the last two or three years, I've learned that I attend a college comprised of raving idiots and mongoloids, barely worthy to live in America, let alone earn a college degree.  I've grown to accept our JUCO standards and our barely-able-to-function level of intelligence, because it lets us recruit

Pretty arrogant fanbase IMO. This is the same school that had all the recruiting violations and horrible allegations regarding its football program. Pretty ridiculous IMO.

Nothing has changed on NetBuffs.  Just go remind them that a K-State alum runs the University of Colorado system.

Just seeing that real fast and saw Blitzkrieg. I don't venture out to the other boards much anymore, is the OU Blitzkrieg still around?

I'm willing to bet that Mike's signing bonus alone is larger than the lifetime earnings of 99.9% of all CU alums.
