samuels is the best on the team at posting facebook content, imho.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

He's pretty much his own recruiting service, i.e. updates through facebook. I love it.

what a friggin' genius we have on our hands here...where did he think he was moving to? phoenix?
wdc, where "jamar" is from, averages 22.3 inches of snow per year.
topeka averages 20.7 inches of snow per year.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

poor comparison, imo.  topeka's 20.7 means more to the community that wdc's 22.3.  very diff. snows.

Very true... just checked... and we've had 0.32 in of snow since his arrival.  8-)

although we could be misinterpreting the "222222222222222"?

sys = bryan busby?  whatever dude.  it doesn't snow too much in mhk.  anyone that thinks it does is a loser.  plus, with global warming and crap, he'll probably be crying that his electric bill is too high from keeping his ac on, if he makes it to his senior year.

    The very best.
Why redshirting him? He must not be good.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

lol, dude.  lol.  samuels misses his native humid subtropical climate, and i for one don't blame him.

didn't want to have to lol at your weather stats, but way off, dude.  way off.  dc is 15 inches.  which is very tolerable compared to 20.7.  very tolerable.

omg.  lollering, nonstop llolllering.  2 huge errors dude, huge.

1.  our discussion is about the weather in wdc, not in dulles, va.  which is a different town where samuels doesn't live (prolly 'cause it snows too much out there).

2.  read the subtitle, dude. "(including ice pellets and sleet)".  samuels isn't complaining about the ice pellets and sleet out here in mhk, so those data don't count.  just bad data, dude.

Congrats on breaking the news, fellas.

Jamar Samuels to redshirt 2007-08 season

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State men’s basketball coach Frank Martin announced on Friday that freshman forward Jamar Samuels (The Patterson (N.C.) School; Washington, D.C.) has opted to redshirt the 2007-08 season.

“After visiting with Jamar and his mother, we think the best decision for him is to take a redshirt for the rest of the season,” said Martin.  “Jamar continues to make strides in practice and we think he is going to be an outstanding player for us in the future.”

Samuels, along with his high school teammate Dominique Sutton, joined the squad on Dec. 26, 2007 after completing the necessary academic requirements.

Both Samuels and Sutton came to Kansas State after playing at The Patterson School in Lenoir, N.C., for head coach Chris Chaney.  The duo played a major role in helping the Bulldogs to a 36-4 overall record and a No. 3 national prep school ranking in 2006-07.  The squad advanced to the inaugural Prep School National Championship, where they lost in the semifinals to the eventual national champions Notre Dame (Mass.) Prep, led by future teammate Michael Beasley.

A 6-foot-8, 220-pound power forward from Washington, D.C., Samuels played just one season at The Patterson School after a stellar playing career at Archibishop Carroll High School in his hometown.  He averaged 22 points, nine rebounds and three blocks per game as a junior, while he averaged 12 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks as a sophomore.  He also starred on the AAU circuit with the DC Assault alongside Beasley, Sutton and fellow freshman Ron Anderson.

Kansas State (10-4) opens Big 12 play on Saturday, as they travel to Norman, Okla., to face Oklahoma (12-3) at the Lloyd Noble Center at 5 p.m. CT.
