    The very best.
from april

Pope said he recently received a scholarship offer from Kansas State, which last week hired Bob Huggins as its coach. The former Cincinnati coach is a close friend of Stright's after luring Shaler's Danny Fortson there.

Huggins is trying to assemble an all-star recruiting class that could include top-10 talents such as guard O.J. Mayo and forward Bill Walker of Cincinnati's North College Hill and Riverdale (Md.) Baptist forward Michael Beasley, a former teammate of Pope's on the DC Assault AAU club.

"It's still early in my recruiting, so I don't have any leaders or favorites," Pope said. "We're trying to make that better than the old (Michigan) Fab Five."
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

He's just playing games with the media..,

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

haha jk

well not really

still wouldn't mind him on the team though, huggins will keep his head in line.  if not, he can sit, and try the draft.

“They’re in there strong with Herb Pope,” Rivals.com main scout Jerry Meyer said.

Pope, living near Pitt and having a LOT of people wanting him to play there, is under a lot of pressure from the fans and the press alike.  I think he is just laying low and biding his time rather than announce where he intends to play and igniting a firestorm of criticism.  He may yet commit to KSU, or he may go elsewhere.  One thing that seems for certain, however, is that he is not going to Pitt else he would have announced that by now just to make everybody in his hometown happy...
