i was watching the game with a few of my friends last night not much else to do.  well this one kid who ALWAYS braggs about ku didn't even know the freaking name of the starting running back. STARTING &@#%ING RUNNING BACK. it was Mcanderson, he didn't know it. 

after this questioning of his fanhood, he never said a word the rest of the game. it was hilarious.

Royals fans are still waiting for a playoff race....

2 things:
1.  The only loyal KSU fans are the ones who paid attention prior to '93.  Yes I agree that there are many bandwagon ku fans this year.  I don't consider myself one, but there are many. 

2.  The Royals comment is the best.  Still a true, blue Royals fan and get a lot of crap for it.  (I live in MD now)

1. True, but I was only 6 back then.  I would have loved to EMAW back then but my parents didn't care about sports.

Ditto. A part of me is happy for ku. You know, good for them and good for the Big 12 North overall. What I can't handle is all of these people coming out of the woodwork as the so-called biggest ku football fans ever.

LOL . . . just like with ksu, there's a core of about 30,000 loyal ku fans, the rest are just bandwagoners.  On the basketball side it's the same deal.  Sadly I am old enough to remember a time when ku fans would barely even awknowledge that ku had a basketball team.   Then a few years later "beak'm hawks" shirts were popping out of the woodwork . . . and then ku basketball went on probation as per usual.

There are a lot more ku "fans" who dont know crap about fball running thier mouths than there were ksu fans during the DOD.
