Inside sources say that Prince was so upset after Saturdays game he made it blateningly obvious to Franklin to polish up his resume and put his house on the market.

So who will be the new OC? Inside promotion or new hire?

I agree that defense is the problem to work on. We desperately need the old lynch mob back. However, it is not postive to enter you opponent's territory five time just to leave with 20 points. I'm not saying I am for getting rid of Franklin, just that his termination will be official by the end of the year.

Maybe Prince is tying in his disappointment in not landing Arthur Brown. Franklin is his recruiter.

We did kill about three more drives Saturday (bringing the total to like 100 for the year) by completing passes for X-1 yards on third down with X yards to go.  Clearlly the WR coach should be fired.

Wasn't this same rumor out there last year??

Offense was not a problem, and Franklin is the last person to blame for this.  He didn't tip 2 passes for INTs, or blow a TD call.  I would also wager that he could probably get a yard on 4th and goal from the 1.  He also didn't give up the two biggest plays all year for ISU.

RIGHT - he was an OC himself as we all know. He could make a case for himself - didn't he call the plays against CU? He could prolly cut a deal with Weiser, can OCJF and get half of OCJF's salary for himself. THERE'S some thinking. I just dont care for the play calling - too precictable. On the D, Tibs cannot coach talent.

Bullsh&t.

ISU didn't score an offensive TD in the second half. Adjustments were made...ISU was shut down.

If not for Freeman throwing that Pick 6 and the refs RAPING us on that call -- we win that game.

Our offense play calling was horrible. Absolutely  pathetic.

I live "next door" to a defensive graduate assistant coach and he was home for about 10 minutes Sat night. When he left to go back to Vanier he said he had to hurry, he couldn't be late because "he" was mad...very mad.

If Ron would fire Franklin for this performance against ISU he needs to basically fire himself and never coach again, ever.   Why the f*ck was the team down at halftime?  Because the defense is made up of a bunch of FP's.  It's ISU's offense for f*ck sake, not the Patriots offense.  I don't give a damn if we gave it to them at the 30...make them kick a field goal.  Or how about not letting them drive 90+ yards on the following series?

Oh, and maybe if our DC didn't call plays like he's using an "if, then"' formula in excel, he'd switch his calls up a bit so the other OC doesn't bend him over to start with.

Why is it that everyone claims it was either the offense or the defense?

They both sucked.

Ha.  You've got to be kidding me.  The only reason that we "Shut ISU down" in the second half is because they ditched the run game for some god forsaken reason.  The pick 6 hurt, but it didn't hurt nearly as bad as giving up 21 points in the first quarter to Iowa &@#%ing State and having to play catch up the rest of the game.

Also, JJ's run was the only call the refs "RAPED" us on all game.  Other than that, it seemed like we were getting most every call.  Probably had something to do with Prince berating the officials at half time.

    AAAAAHHHHH AAAAHHH

Probably had something to do with Prince berating the officials at half time.

And maybe he was berating them because of all the damn holding they were doing.  Every play around the end had an obvious hold happening which allowed them the edge.  I know there is holding going on with most plays but these were ridiculously obvious and effected the outcome of the play.  Just sayin'

I'm still out on Franklin, his next recruiting class may be the tipper.

I thought the holding on JJ's run was questionable.

I finally watched the 2nd half on passport and we had every opportunity to take the game from them and just didn't.  We should have been down 5 going into the 4th.

If Prince was pissed at Franklin my guess was it was for the 4th and 1 QB sneak call.   That was pure garbage to try and sneak it from a full yard out with 9 defenders in the box.  Success rate on a play like like that is probably 20% tops had to be some bad info relayed from the box on what the spot was.   You try something like that if you've got 6 inches to go not a full yard.  The spot on the play before that was bad but someone up in the box has to recognize where the ball was spotted and relay that to whomever is making the play call.

The success rate of a quarterback sneak from inside the 1 with a 250 pound quarterback is 20%?  Really?

On that play, we just had a bunch of FP's blocking for Freeman.  It should've worked and was a solid call.  Our fatties just didn't get a good push.

Our fanbase would have melted down if QB sneak wouldn't have been called there.  (and it failed)

It was a full  yard to go and yes that is low percentage in that circumstance from that distance.  You've got 9 in the box every o-lineman is going to be covered by a d-lineman and they are taught to pinch in on the center at the snap.  We've got a 270 pound center whose best strength is his mobility.  Freeman is big but kind of awkard and he's not exactly the type to squeeze through small holes his size probably hurts on that play more then it helps because his center of gravity is high.  It was a god awful call and doomed from the start and maybe the o-lineman are pussy's but part of being an coach is knowing what your players do well and what they don't do well.
