It's a real paradox right now.
Financially KSU athletics has never been on better ground. Already Huggy has added another 2200 season ticket without coaching a game, because of Huggy KSU is going to get a much bigger NIKE deal. KSU has a lucrative TV-Radio Deal, facility improvements are being done and more are on the way, KSU athletics runs a significant budget surplus, KSU athletics is actually putting money away for "a rainy day" etc. etc. etc.
By the same token KSU athletics has taken a bit of a nose dive since 2003. So far Weiser's first main hire hasn't done jacksquat, albeit I think he needs (not deserves) a couple of more years. Prince DESERVES the benefit of the doubt until games are actually played on the field, and signing day actually get here. Huggy is a PR machine, who will elevate KSU hoops ... will he elevate it to where some KSU folks think he will, I doubt it ... but I'll take the NCAA every year over crap on a shingle every time.
So right now everything off the field shows great promise, everything on the field ... we'll have to see I guess.
I guess the real positive here is how much stronger KSU athletics is financially and as an entity then it was even 10 years ago.
