Kansas State Wildcats (4-3)
Am I thrilled about keeping a 4-3 team in the rankings? Hardly. But I looked far and wide and could not find a more deserving team than the Wildcats, which have not only beaten top-15 Texas but have endured three last-minute losses to foes with a combined 17-6 record. Not exactly heinous.
Last game: Lost to Oklahoma State, 41-39.
Next game: Saturday vs. Baylor.
