I know he's accurate but don't know about his scrambling ability.

It can't be worse than Free with sprained ankle and with muscle cramps.

I am ready for  your napalm. :D

I agree with you and my only answer is, "Prince will not pull his golden boy unless he's literally dying".  For better or for worse and last night it was for the worse.

this makes sense with the weak o line, and freeman running for his life. regularly.

Okay waks, hit me with your vast football knowledge.

How many touchdowns did Freeman throw vs. interceptions?

How well did Freeman throw out of the pocket either before or after he was hurt?

How many of Freeman's passing yards were thow and catch vs. throw and then y.a.c.?

Tell me again how effective Freeman was vs. the receivers helping him out.  I'll tell you what, I'll go watch the film and count up the yac vs. his actual completion yardage.  The only pass that went for more than 15 yards in the air was his throw to Mastud, other than that Coffman can throw the slip screen and the 5 yard cross.

I still think Freeman is our qb but the you guys that hang on his nuts are just sorry.

I hate to say that I agree with waks, but I couldn't live with myself if I agreed with opcat.  Anyway, did you actually watch the game?  The gameplan was to throw short passes.  The interceptions (there were 2) came in desperation moments while we were trying to beat the clock against one of the best secondary units in the nation.  Freeman played beyond expectations last night.  If he can play like that all season we'll get 9 wins.  Anyway imagine Carson going in, Alesana lays down anyway and Carson gets rocked, loses the ball and we lose by 10 anyway.  But you'd be 4 times more pissed because we yanked Freeman.

No, I didn't watch the game at all.   :jerkoff:

Of course I watched the game and re-watched it, the interceptions/almost interceptions didn't come at a time of desperation, they came at a time when Freemen needed to take his team down the field and score.  Unfortunately we didn't run enough trick plays to pull off a win but its good to know that if conventional football tactics don't work we can always run the quarterback throwback.     We have zero offense when we play a decent team... get use to it.

lol at 250 yards of passing = no offense. And if the interceptions didn't come in desperate times then I don't know what desperation is. One was a hail mary to end the half. The second was a desperation throw with 40 seconds left when we were behind ten points and needed two scores. Not only would Carson not have had near the poise, he doesn't possess Josh's height which is needed to throw the dump off passes that he was over the line nor Josh's strength which is needed to be able to take the hits that he was undoubtedly going to take. Carson also has zero mobility so a immobile Josh is still better than Carson. Talk about being on someone's nuts. You've probably been hanging off of Carson's since the spring game.

So what you're saying is, "Yes I watched the game.  However, I know nothing about football."  We lost because we let them score and get three points ahead and Alesana laid down.  You could stick anyone you can think of at QB and Groves still takes him down with how quickly he blew the line.

    This ZERO is my Hero
No way I put Carson out there, unless Freeman was just carried off.  He had one good spring game, that doesn't mean he is ready to come in and make a difference in a real game.

What if he comes in and throws a pick right there?  Freeman was still managing the game okay, and Prince didn't want to risk a costly turnover.  He let Freeman stay in, compete as best he could, and hoped the defense could bail us out.

And whether he throws a pick there or not, he still gets rocked by groves, ball comes out and it's over.  Well perhaps it wouldn't have been a turnover, because if Carson had the ball it might have flown into the stands when he got hit.

Freeman had a MUCH higher completion percentage, on the road, against Auburns defense than Coffman had in Manhattan against our backup defense.

Freeman stood in the pocket with Groves coming after him.  Coffman stood in the pocket with Pete Yemm coming after him.

Get a freakin grip.
