KSU among the few helping to give the Big 12 a good name.  Thank goodness KSU is restoring the order.

It's good to see Nebraska back in the top 10...in something.  And you will notice they did beat Michigan who is also in that top 10...or something like that.

People think highly of Nebraska, even during this transition and realize that our return to glory is inevitable. Even Bill Snyder has said so.

The funny thing is that you're not overrated or underrated on any of those lists, simply because no one cares.

Big 12 teams were the most overrated during the last 10 years.

Nebraska, Texas and Texas A&M were the league's most overrated teams.

Huge surprise there.

"simply because no one cares."

Pretty obvious that you care about KSU, considering you are on this board 24/7

If you read... I know its not your strong suit, but if you were to spend about 25 minutes or so and try to read the article you would realize that they mention KSU as being underrated.  But no, you're right...I wish our school was listed as one of the most overrated.  Must be nice to consistently fail to meet expectations

don't you love the way Huskers throw in things like "during this transition"?

Bob Stoops inherited a team that was predominantly a run oriented skill level, like Nebraska.  Unlike Nebraska he didn't have 6 top 2 round NFL draft selections awaiting him on his defense.  He didn't even have a single OL who would get drafted waiting for him....voila..bowl in the first season(like Prince) and national title in year 2.

Prince...same thing.  Bowl in year one.

Nubb and Callahan?  70-10, excuses for why Nubb didn't make a bowl for the first time in 40 years.  And after a 5-loss season in year 3...we should still send sympathy cards as Nubb deals w/ "this transition" period.

Man this stuff is good.

And here's the real reason for hope for those teams not among the top 25 today: In every season since 1997, at least two teams that started the season unranked finished among the top 10.

He's talking about us!!!!

How long do transitions last, the duration of two or three coaches?

9 losses the past 2 years (05-06)

9 losses the 2 yrs before that (03-04)

9 losses the 2 yrs before that (01-02)

Yep, the return to glory is inevitable ........  I think i heard this about 4 years ago and i will probably here it again in another 4 yrs

The Fuskers will be outclassed, outplayed and outcoached bigtime when USC comes a knockin' and you guys won't win in Columbia (could it be 41-24 yet again).  Thus no North title and a 50/50 shot at even ending up in the top 25 at season's end

8-4 and with a possible bowl loss = 8-5 (another 5 loss season for a nat'l power returning to glory....LOL)

That would be us in 2002 for sure.  Was KSU unranked before the 1997 season?  I know they were unranked prior to 1995 yet finished in the top 10.

    The very best.
ksu was ranked for 108 consecutive weeks from 95-01.

so yes, we were ranked before 97'.

2002 is crazy. we were pretty close from being unranked, to being national champs
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

You'd better hurry up and fire Prince then and speed up that process.

Nahh, they'll be in the top-25 at the end of the year.  They are, after all, one of the most overrated teams ever.
