Recruiting. Why is this qb being recruited so hard?

My guess is that while he's not huge, Qbs like Drew Brees in the NFL have shown you don't have to be 6'4 to be a decent QB. Based on his strength/weakness profile, he'd be a good fit in most offenses. Arm strength is often overrated, while accuracy is vastly underrated. There won't be many times if any during a game where you have to gun the ball 80 yards, but there will be a couple of dozen where you have to have the touch to drop it between cornerbacks and beat coverage on a short pass.

So he looks like a decent prospect to me.

If we can get Nathan Stanley (#1 QB target) to commit, than we wont go after another QB in this class.

And I feel very good about where we stand with Nathan.

Looks like Stanley's front-runners are Oklahoma, Okie State, Arkansas, and you guys. The problem you might run into is that all three of those other teams are arguably better right now than Kansas State. So if he wants to win, he's unlikely to commit. Another is that he's an Oklahoma kid and has probably followed one of the in-state schools since childhood and grew up dreaming of playing for them. Finally, you might be able to entice someone like that with the promise of immediate playing time, like you did with Freeman, but this kid will likely be sitting behind Freeman for two years.

So you really don't have much to offer.

Yeah, we typically tremble right before we come into other teams' stadiums and absolutely own them.
