It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Kansas State to hold football practice in Olathe

If you live in the Kansas City area and want to see a Kansas State football practice without driving two hours west, here’s your chance.

K-State announced Friday it will hold a practice Aug. 11 at the College Boulevard Activity Center in Olathe. The two-hour practice begins at 2 p.m., followed by a one-hour autograph session. Admission and parking is free. The activity center is at 11031 South Valley Road.

“We are always looking for creative ways to reach out and connect with our fans and supporters,” coach Ron Prince said in a prepared statement.

The practice was approved Wednesday by the Olathe Board of Education.

The Wildcats open the 2007 season Sept. 1 at Auburn.
