caught a bit of him on 1410 with Chris Allison/Randy Smithson

Said he and his wife loved Manhattan.  Something like, if Manhattan wasn't such a great place, then all the assistants would have come to Morgantown with him.

Thought he would finish his career here, never thought Beilein would be leaving WVU w/the big buyout

Is on good terms with Pres Wefald and AD Weiser, had a half-hour phone visit with Pres Wefald earlier this week

Said KSU is in better shape now than when he arrived with 2 lottery picks on the team

Unfortunately I didn't catch the whole thing to see if there was anything new/interesting or if he got any hardball questions.

    The very best.
One year. One f-ing year.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I don't think that's true.  But what I do think is true is "I would have done anything if it was good for Bob Huggins despite how it impacted anyone else (like Bill Walker)"...

I don't hold anything against Huggins.  Don't understand why so many people so vehemently hate the guy.  I really believe him when he says he loved KSU and wouldn't have gone anywhere else except WVU.  He went home, we seem to be no worse for the wear, good luck to him, good luck to KSU.  I would cheer for WVU, I still like Huggy, wish he would've stayed, but you can't have everything.

There's a new sheriff in town.

Yep, he would have raped us, and left us hi and dry if he could have.

I don't blame him. I would bolt any job in the country to coach at KSU if I was ever in that position. Yes, I do think that I would even leave two lottery picks. Stupid? Maybe, but I would still be where I want to be. However, I still will be rooting for WVU to lose every single game they play.

Slight clarification.  He would have left only for one of two jobs - WVU or Arkansas.

Was that ever confirmed or was it just Whitlock reporting it?

If Gregg Doyel believes something happened, I believe it happened.
