OL - Chris Boggas --------- Top 10 OL in nation.  Beat out UT, T-Tech, Hawaii, Arkansas, Florida State, Tennessee
PK - Jared Brite ----------- He's a punter.
DE - Alex Carrier ---------- Offers from T-Tech, tcu, ISU, and TAMU.
FB - Rock Cartwright ------ Was a Baylor commit, a Juco FB isn't going to be ranked too high.
TE - Brian Casey ---------- Top 4 TE in MoKan.  Beat Mizzou.
DT - Jared Cowan --------- Beat out OSU, T-Tech, and SMU.
OL - Jon Doty -------------- Beat ISU, Minnesota, Iowa.
DB - DeMarcus Faggins --- Beat out OU, CU, ku.
DE - Ken Greene ---------- Injured during Juco.  Beat out OSU, South Carolina, and Minnesota.
OL - Mike Johnson -------- Beat CU, CSU, ASU, Wyoming.
OL - Nick Leckey ---------- Offers from T-Tech, UT, Mizzou.  I would guess others, those are the visits he canceled though.
QB - Will Martin ----------- Committed to NU for a while, OSU and Indiana considered.  Juco placement.
DB - Michael Menifee ----- T-Tech, Mizzou, and ku.  Juco placement.
OL - Billy Miller ----------- Interest from a lot of schools, don't know about offers though.  3 stars just like most Juco players.
WR - Antoine Polite ------- Committed to Iowa, changed to KSU.
OL - Ryan Schmuecker --- Interest, but no offers I think.
RB - Josh Scobey --------- Top 3 RB out of Juco.  Top 12 RB out of HS.
LB - Maurice Thurmond -- Doesn't seem to be in many rankings.  KSU over SU, T-Tech, and ISU.
DT - Jerry Togiai --------- 3 stars like most Jucos.  Official visits to SDSU, Oregon State, UNLV.
DB - Derrick Yates ------- One of the top Juco safeties.

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I was thinking the same.  1999 was an awesome class.  Only guys who did anything significant from 2000 were Cartwright, Casey, Doty, Faggins, Leckey, Polite, Scobey, and Yates.

I don't even know who Cowan, Greene, Martin, Menifee, Miller, and Schmuecker are.  Like those names don't ring a bell at all.

on 2nd thought, it's not that bad. i think 2001 was the back breaker.

I'm starting to realize where all of this crapty reasoning comes form.  It's directly from Snyder's lame ass "we'll find out how good they are in four years" routine.

2001 was pretty good.

2000 and 2001 weren't spectacular, but they helped in 2003.  However, most of the good players in 2001 were JuCo, most of the high school players sucked.  Hmmm...

I don't know what to think though, of our decline.  Our 2002 recruiting isn't as good as it looks on paper.  They handed out 4 and 5 stars out like candy to JuCo players.  Davis and Holakeituai would be 4 stars.  Bulman, Cooper, Jordan, and Keaulana-Kamakea would be 3 stars.  I rated the JuCo players from 99 and 00 like they would in this past year's ranking, and they still were 4 stars.

Our decline really came on the defensive side. Look at the lack of defensive playmakers on the 00,01,02 lists.
