You guys know more about the Jayhawk players than I do, I think, and I'm trying to figure out where they will be. I think Mangino is unpresentable but he is a good x's and o's guy. Cornish is a huge loss.

With the schedule...I think they could pull out six or seven wins and be bowl eligible in all seriousness. They lost alot on the o-line and with Cornish carrying the load...that'll hurt them some.

I think Kery Meier gets beat out by that Reesing half-pint in summer drills.

When they first got Meier, a couple of their fans told me he is incredibly fast and would be a dual-threat nightmare. Is there any truth to that or is it a bunch of crap? He was injured last year when we played them.

He may not even start next year he came out of spring ball dead even with Todd Reesing for the starting job.  Either they've got two QB prodigies on their hands or Meier is over hyped.  I tend to believe the latter.  ku will be the same team next year they've been the last several years and probably the same team they'll be as long as Mangino is the coach.  Probably win about six games or so.

I never hope ku does well but, no - I honestly don't see much coming out of them this year.  (they had the easiest schedule last year and couldn't do anything with it...so, they won't be able to this year either) .......if Kerry is the QB, they will be even worse than excepted - Shad was the only good player to come out of the offspring.

This season is ku's chance to make a move about 3rd in a horrible North and better than 3 conference wins in a season. The reason  being that ku goes back to the Texas and Oklahoma South rotation rather than the Ostate, and Texas A&M. They lost BOTH of those games last year some called them "easy wins"...Let me repeat....they've never gone better than 3-5 in conference play under Mangino.

I wanna see if any of them are foolish to call any of their conference games "easy wins". What a riot.

Yeah, it seems like every year with Mangino is the same. That being said, if we don't make a bowl game this year, it's time for him to go. I'd probably say 7 wins, maybe 6.

I don't see how they aren't atleast at 7 wins.  All 4 of their OOC games should be wins, they've got Baylor at home and ISU at home, which should be wins so that's 6....and between NU at home, MU at arrowhead and two weeks to prepare for KSU in Manhattan, they should get one of those wins.  If not, the Frank Martin hire has nothing on the Mangino extension/raise.

Kansas does have a good coach, and feel they will always be hovering around 6-8 wins, so always bowl eligible. They run the ball alot, which means they will be in the game at all times. I feel the pecking order for the big 12 north goes, NU, KSU, MU or ku, CU, ISU.
