If Weiser has two brain cells left to rub together Hill's contract will have like a $5M+ buyout.

You understand, if we fire him we have to pay $5M too.   Terrible idea putting a $5M buyout in a 27 yr old's contract.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Not if it's a 3-year contract to be assistant head coach for like $200k/year.  If Martin bolts and we don't want Hill as HC he can shovel paper in the athletic department for the remainder of his contract.  Bringing in Beasley next year will, all by itself, generate more than enough revenue to pay the salary in any contract we might give Hill.

The buyouts should be about 350k to 500k each on a 3-4 year contract.  These guys aren't as rich as huggz yet, we need middle of the road buyouts so we can get rid of them should we need to, and high enough to make them think twice about going to Cincinati next year when Cronin gets fired.

I still want my cooler, bitches!

What you guys are missing is the fact that you never have to fire these guys, you can just roll them into different positions in the athletic department.  The ticket revenues alone from next year will pay for that.  Make the buyouts outrageous so other programs can't pick Hill off.  If we sign hom for $200k/year with a $400k buyout do you really think the Scumbag won't offer him $300k/year and do you think WVU would have any hesitation at paying the buyout if they knew Beasley was the prize?  I don't.  It's not enough to get Martin and Hill under contract you've got to nail Hill down so that hiring him away is a practical impossibility.

Maybe they could use a 1st year buy out of, oh let's just say $2.5M. with $200k after that.

I'd make it more like $10M the first year but that would work.

This has the feeling of one of those movies where the guy accidentally kills someone (hooker, drifter, etc) and gets his buddies to help him clean it up rather than do the right thing and call the cops -- then the rationalization begins:

"If I can just get rid of the body quick enough, no one will ever know, and no one has to go to jail"
"We can never speak of the unpleasantness again"

That said, I wouldn't complain if the current staff is retained
