Isn't that the same guy that wasn't concerned when we didn't get an invite?

    Overkill. It works.

Yeah, apparently Steinbrock spoke to Weiser over the phone (ADTW was in a meeting at the time).  ADTW said "off the record" that he'd spoken to Huggs within the last 2 hours and the subject of Huggins leaving never even came up.  Take it FWIW.  At this point, who knows?  I prefer to look at it as a bit of good news.

LOL.  Yeah, Weiser talks with HUggins and all they talked about was the weather and how his car was driving.

Weiser and Huggins talked about more money.  He's not leaving, but he will be better paid in 48 hours.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

There's a new sheriff in town.
Give him whatever he wants...whatever it takes to keep him in Manhattan, I'm all for it.
I don't even care if he's using this as leverage, I say good for him, but ADTW needs to do whatever it takes to keep him.

Chuggins is just using the West Virginia job as leverage.  Don't worry.

Hey, I'm totally up for giving Huggs a bigger paycheck.  He deserves to be in the top-4 of the Big XII coaching salaries.  If Billy f'n Gillispie can pull down 2 mil, Huggs is worth at least 1.5 mil.  AT LEAST.

Would everyone be in favor of giving Huggs more $$ if it meant cutting more $$ from another sport... say football?

Even though it may be complete ADTWBS, we haven't heard any quotes like that from Fitz.

Huggs and Prince both need $$.  I don't care where we get it.  We can sell yayo out of the Union if we need to or get it anywhere we can.  Wait a minute...  Why take it from Prince?  How big was the women bb losing streak again?

As good as Huggy is, basketball is NEVER the heart and soul of any college athletic football program.  Football provides the pulse of any big time athletic program.  That's why there are differences between between football schools like Michigan, Texas, Ohio State, Florida State and basketball schools like UConn and Kentucky.

Basketball cannot carry a athletic department.  Football can.

Because Duke has historically had such a BADASS football program!

You need to realize that Huggins doesn't need as big of a paycheck as Self does.  After all, he doesn't have to pay those enormous Hair Club dues...
