You can't be racist and like basketball.
2007:  -
2006:  -
2005:  Rutgers, Washington St.
2004:  -
2003:  Oregon St., Northwestern
2002:  Mississippi
2001:  Illinois, Iowa

Pathetic.  I think Ole Miss, Illinois, and Iowa were the only tourney teams, (and I think they were Asbury holdovers.)

It'll be nice to see Oregon and Cal next season (and hopefully more).

    AAAAAHHHHH AAAAHHH
I could have sworn we played Wa St back to back years, regardless that's pathetic.

    The very best.
Not to mention Rutgers, Washington St, Oregon St., Northwestern have all been horrible the last 15 years.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Wooly had a clause in his contract that required him to have two "marquee" home OOC games a year.  The fact that he used the likes of Rutgers, Colorado State, and Wyoming for his "marquee" games makes me want a refund for season tickets from 2002-06.

Illinois and Iowa were definetly Asbury games.

Ole Miss?

I remember playing Memphis on the road one year. Never got a return.

Ole Miss started @Oxford in year one, so I'm guessing that was an Asbury game.  We played Memphis at home in 99-00 under Asbury (pretty sure we won a tight game), return in 00-01 under Wooly (I remember turning on the radio in the second half, and all hope generated by the Iowa win went down the toilet.)

Asbury got home-homes with a bunch of quality teams late in his tenure, when he didn't give a &@#%.

Asbury did the Ole Miss, Illinois, and Michigan State deals and the last Wichita State deal.  I think Iowa was Wooldridge's deal, and by far his best.  He went to trying to schedule wins after that first year and it didn't work out so well.  He scheduled the dregs of BCS conferences for his marquee games and we couldn't even manage to beat Rutgers or Northwestern.  Getting swept in a home and home by Northwestern is an embarrassment.

Interesting to note, the 00-01 game vs Illinois was against Bill Self. It was also the same day as the CCG vs football.

I just noticed we played Iowa on the road in 01-02 so I guess that was a Wooldridge deal.

Amazing that Wooly's best OOC win came his first year against that Iowa team.  That was a fun day.

That was the unofficial start of "accepting mediocrity".  I didn't go to the game, but remember seeing the big Wefald article in the Star the next day...mentioned the ovation Wooly's boy's got for "playing hard" after a 20 point loss.  I was like, "WTF?!?"

It was supposed to have been Lonnie coming back for his "homecoming", but he bolted to Atlanta during the off-season.  His team steamrolled us in Champaign the year before.

I remember being pissed the only time we had a decent team show up on our schedule was when no one was going to be there anyway.
