Re: Tyree evans commits to kstate

Cire the whole rape issue concerns me but he wasn't convicted. Not enough evidence or whatever its over. He still assault and battered a 15 year old girl. I don't think he should get a free education anywhere. I don't like that my tax dollars might in some way help pay for his tuition.

Yeah.

It's like they don't even realize that they started the season with two deadbeat dads on their team(Now down to 1 after the first one went public) and they are currently on probation.

A great example of moral authority.

Re: Tyree evans commits to kstate

"but he wasn't convicted. Not enough evidence or whatever "

Wrong. The prosecutor maintained there was plenty of evidence. The fact all charged pled supports this.  Evans had to agree to the FACTS of the crimes as set forth by the State before he was allowed to plead to lesser charges. He was found GUILTY. Plea bargaining like this goes on all the time to save the State the cost of a trial and/or to save the juvenile girl victim the embarassment of having to testify & relive the events publicly and appear before a crowd in open court.

Does this happen in kansas?  Are rapists set free on probation to save tax dollars?  If this is true I'm actually kind of mad.

I guess if you committ a serious crime you should really leave lots of evidence behind so the case is so open and closed that they just don't even try you for it and let you plea bargain to get probation.

Who's paying for the baby formula, diapers, powder, etc?
I'm sure it's somebody's tax dollars.

It's nice to have the ku fans policing everyone. They're such do-gooders.

Re: Tyree evans commits to kstate

"You mean to tell me that DA's with slam dunk cases just let rapists walk to save tax payers money"

Well...duh?

The vast majority of criminal cases in the United States are settled by plea bargain rather than by a jury trial.

I'm amazed this is news to you.

And so there it is folks.

I could give a rats Azz what ku or for that matter what anyone says about the KSU program. It's been revitalized in a way no one thought possible. I like the players we have. Huggins is a fair guy that believes in second chances. Thank God for people like that. It also turns out that he is a ferocious competitor. ku superiority is threatened like most don't remember. A respectable schools fans would let the effforts of the team speak for themselves. But some ku fans resort to name calling and sniping in order to feel superior when they are threatened! I have but one thing to tell those ku Hypocrites!!!! ku this birds for you!!  :twobirds: :twobirds:

and God bless Bob Huggins : Hugginistas for ever!

It's confusing in Larryville, ku used State funding to pay for football stadium upgrades recently.

FSnyder never went that route.

Didn't BJ Williams get arrested for exposing himself to his ex-girlfriend and her sister as he stood naked outside of her apartment window?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

ku Liberalism: All people charged with a crime are guilty if they commit to KSU.  IF they plead to lesser charges they are still guilty of the major ones.  The irony is that these are probably the same people that protest Git'mo.

It's true, most prosecutors in rape cases often let defendants cop pleas and only go on probation.  It happens all the time, rapists get reduced charges and a couple of years of probation, they can even leave the state.

Where have you guys been?

That's because a lot of the time, the victim has credibility issues and so to get some kind of conviction, they'll get the easy things.

I'm not saying that's the case here, but more than likely, it's easier to prove the assault because enough evidence exists, and to avoid jail time, the prosecutor gets a win, the defendant gets a slap, and the victim can get terms of the probation favorable to her.
