Blackout?

I apologize in advance because I am certain this must be a "Germans Bombing Pearl Harbor" -type story but I haven't heard it yet.  I just read a couple of references that tonight's game is somehow blacked out.  Can that be right?  From the context of the stuff I have seen, it appears that Huggins has somehow ordered the blackout in apparent hopes of turning up the crowd that shows at Allen West.

Is this right?  If it is, how can it be?  I assume that ESPN makes those decisions and that neither Huggins or the Big XII can make the decision without ESPN's agreement since there is a contract and all.  Is it only blacked out in Manhattan and the surrounding fields?  Are the sheep brothels subject to the same treatment since they make such big contributions to the KSU Athletic Department.

Anyone?

Re: Blackout?

I have no idea if I am kidding.  All I have seen is a couple of oblique references.  I could be totally wrong or just entirely misinterpreting what I read earlier.  I know it sounds amazing, which is why I am so dumbfounded if it's true.

Re: Blackout?

Wow.  Huggins must be desperate if he is willing to take his national game off the air where potential recruits can see the place and how loud it gets just so he can artifically pump up the crowd.

And for you, St. Louis 93, I await your apology for using the "cuckoo" clip art.  I am sure I'll be waiting for awhile.

No apologies here...

Mark it down: when they find out the game's on the tube the next thing you'll hear is, "Huggins tried to have the game blacked out because he didn't want anyone to see how bad we're going to beat them but he just doesn't have as much pull as he'd like to think."
