really stupid for coming back?  or was he already exposed by the second half of the big 12 season last year?

Roby doesn't care for large segments of the game.  He's got to be thinking "what the heck was I thinking?"

    Overkill. It works.
Roby gets 5 pts.  5 whole points.  WTF???

Hey just in case nobody's mentioned it--what is Roby's relation to Kenyon Martin?  I know they're related somehow.

half-brother

Students got into Roby's head calling him "Dick".  This goes back to last year where his mom turned around and told us to stop calling him that and that he doesn't like it.  Of course we complied.  :shy:

Roby wasn't going to be drafted in the first round last year.  And I think the difference between having to prove youself as a second rounder and as a free agent is negligible, so the timing isn't really that big of an issue in my opinion.

good point.  as weird as it seems, he probably should have looked at transferring to a different program.

Agreed.  CU is a sinking ship.  I still can't figure out WTH the CU admins were thinking when they let this whole "lame duck" thing go down.  Did they NOT realize they were throwing their basketball program on the trash heap for a good 3 years to come?  OR do they just care that little about hoops?  I seem to recall another theory stating that CU didn't have the money to buy out the remainder of Patton's contract.  I dunno.  Roby must be one loyal guy to stick with a stinker like CU.

This article (click for link) illustrates further the problems with CU basketball.  Marcus Hall, CU's other SR with 40+ starts in his career and a captain last year was academically inelgible for the fall semester and when he came back in january he decided to redshirt instead of finishing the season with this "team".  I suppose part of it is he's not in basketball shape b/c he couldn't practice for the first semester, but part of it is probably knowing this team isn't going to do anything this year either.
