There's a column by Mark Janssen detailing the Cats march to the Polls and NCAA Tournament as well as some Cats NCAA Tournament history:

Our RPI is #52. Our best wins are over #54 USC and #67 Missouri. We've also got 6 W's away from Bramlage."Good" win possibilities remain at Oklahoma State, at Kansas, with Kansas and at Texas.

When was the last time the Cats were ranked? Mid February 1993 when the Cats were #23. The Cats ended up going 19-11 and lost in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament to Tulane.

When was the last time the Cats were ranked on a week-by-week basis? 1981-82 when the Cats were ranked between #14 and #19. The Cats ended up 23-8 and lost in the Sweet 16.

The 1987-88 team went 25-9 but was only ranked twice (#14 in mid February and ended up #20) despite going to the Elite 8.

The last time the Cats were in the Top 10 was the end of the 1972-73 season. The Cats went 23-5 and lost in the 2nd Round of the NCAA Tournament to Memphis State. The Cats beat Southwestern Louisiana in the First Round.

Happy days are here again????:ksu:

Maybe.  We are still looking for our 1st vote in either the Coaches or AP.  We all believe...It will take the rest of the world a little while as I estimate KSU Fans are light years ahead in classlessness :dancin:

I truly don't care about the polls. 25 teams get ranked.....65 make the NCAA Tournament.

Is that correct?  A long lost memory tells me the 87-88 team ended #8 in the final rankings, but I could be wrong.

Oh well screw it.....Things are lookin' up, when ya start dreamin' more than rememberin'.

That's what the paper said. The only part that I can remember is the 1993 season when we lost to Tulane. Actually I barely remember losing to ku in the Elite 8 in 1988.
