ESPN has to say something good about the Shockers.  After stroking the Shockers for a couple of weeks, the Shockers responded by placing themselves firmly in the bottom half of the Mo Valley.  Go Valley!

Actually, I'm pretty sure that ku had their hideously huge Jayhawk at least a year or two before we got our hideosly big Wildcat with hideously blocky writing.  I remember making fun of ku and saying, "Ahhhh, I'm so happy that KSU will never put @#%$ like that on the floor."  Sigh.

BTW, what's truly amazing about that ESPN "story" is that they were able to find a picture of the Wichita State floor.  This is my first time seeing it.  *giggles*

Schools are nutty . . . you know not wanting to name their teams after rapists, murderers, pillagers and in general terrorists . . . aka The Jayhawkers/Red Leggers who were no where close to the "innocent" victims that historical revisionists would have you believe.

Actually we did.  Go back to the Asbury-era purple pimpled basketball/powercat thing on our center court.
ku still had the state outline on their floor.
