The first computers I worked with in middle school were Apple II e's. They sucked ASS. Apple II e's were the only available computer when I was in high school...hated them then too. I got my first computer when I was in college in 1990--an IBM with a whopping 60 MB hard drive. Since then I've had 2 HPs and my current Dell--along with my HP laptop at work. I don't know, maybe its just that I'm so used to PCs.
When I first started teaching, the only computers at school were Macs--because Macs were cheaper for schools to buy. THEN they figured out that once you get out of high school, outside of graphic design businesses, you're not going to use a Mac because businesses are dominated by PCs. Since then, my school has gone exclusively with PCs, except in the computer graphics class.
I'm just used to PCs. I understand them. Every time I have to work with a Mac I want to scream. However, I'll say this: PCs are better for some applications while Macs are far superior in other applications. It all just depends on what you're going to use them for.
