Frankly,

The fact that you guys are more than willing to throw Martin and Harris under the bus in defense of Huggy is ridiculous. Those guys are RETURNING SENIORS. Returning seniors that have been solid to very good to near all-conference performers in the past. If Jim Wooldridge was still your coach, you'd be ready to send him out in a tin can for being responsible for their regression this year. Those guys should be even BETTER as seniors, and Huggy hasn't figured out how to develop or use either one. It's pathetic.

BOTH of those guys are more talented than Jarrious Jackson. The fact that Bob Knight can come onto your home floor with Jarrious Jackson and a bunch of Rec League All Stars and hand you a 10 point loss is beyond embarrassing. Huggins is more to blame than anyone, in my opinion. If Wooly was still sitting in his spot, you'd be roasting him relentlessly for the total lack of basketball savvy your team displayed last night.

With every passing day, it becomes more and more evident that ku fans are very affraid of Huggins.  Their hatred of him knows no bounds for this reason.  They know that he will bring the KSU program back, and are bashing him now (in year 1) while they still can.  They know that the KSU program will be VERY different in year 2 and going forward, and they want no part of that.

By the same token, ku fans's love for Wooly is also very telling.  They liked it when we wallowed in mediocrity.

Look for more "Wooly was better that Huggins" spin from ku fans in the weeks and months to come.  It's a solid play on their part, given how this years team has struggled.

So Cartier Martin and David Hoskins alone are better then Jackson and the rest of the TT team??

Yet, we also get a constant series of statements from Squawkville about how Martin and Hoskins aren't really that talented they just rack up numbers because KSU depends on them so much.

I just wish they'd make up their mind over there in the Hen House.

Plus, speaking of throwing people under the bus, it doesn't even take a loss for some in the Hen House to start calling for Self's head.

Except for:

Harris' scoring is down one ppg, but his shooting percentages are up: from 41% to 48% on field goals and 27% to 40% from three.

He also has more than doubled his offensive rebounds and has just 11 fewer rebounds than he had all of last year.

So basically, one player (Cartier) has regressed.

I agree with parts of the post, except the bolded part.  I think JJ is slightly better than Martin. Much better than Harris.

The part I most agreed with is that it WAS embarassing.

I also like the back-and-forth dilema between "Huggins will suck at KSU" and "Huggins will leave KSU very soon".

They are good at covering their bases, I have to give them credit for that.  Either way they think they will be right.  Many of them are convinced that Huggins won't be successful now that he has lost 6 games.  Oh dear.

Keep living in the past.  In the mean time, we're #6 in the country with a win over Florida.

You guys are the ones who threw your coach under the bus, claiming that K-State had enough talent last season to make the NCAA tournament.  The close losses to OSU, OU, and UT were just "unacceptable."  "Woolridge lost us the game!"  Now, your excuse is that the players suck.

You gotta love that kind of fan support.

Even if we were off on that, he should have been fired for not bringing in enough talent to get to the NCAA tournament in six years.

The close losses to OSU, OU, and UT were just "unacceptable."

Well, those and the losses to Northern Illinois, Washington State, Baylor, Nebraska, Iowa State, MU w/ a lame duck coach, Colorado, etc.  (that's just last year)

3 years later, and they still drip with hate and loathing.

We had more fans at the road game vs. South Carolina than K-State has had for half of its home games.

Oh, and speaking of recruits... how's 5-star Jason Bennett working out for ya?

I see BMW is over here spreading good ole squawk jibberish.   So ku is #6 now.  Didn't they start the year at number 3???   Are we supposed to be impressed that ku lost 2 games they had no business losing and beat 1 fellow top 10 team.
