    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I have to say I had an inkling that if the stars aligned, conditions were right for an upset. But I was thinking that if every star in the sky aligned.

I had the same feeling.  It felt like the same way.. first drive.. opposing team goes down and scores.. then KSU scores on a pass play...

I was saying "We need to keep scoring."

When KSU blocked the Texas punt, I told my wife after the third down play "We gotta block that kick.."  voila!!

It had the same feel.  Everyone counted us out.

Now, I think everyone will be scared to play us on national TV at night.. in the cold.

When Texas made it 42-35, I thought we were screwed.

I didn't belive we could win unitll we took the 21-14 lead.

it was exactly like ou.  the atmosphere (at least message board atmosphere...dunno about real world)...ut scoring first...everybody not giving ksu a chance...etc

i knew it.  i'm overwhelmed with joy, but i'm not surprised at all.

Yeah, that's true.  I was saying "We have to keep scoring" because Texas will.   Sweed is just too damned good a receiver and as long as their QB can put the ball in the right spot, he'll always get it.

I had a feeling since before the Colorado game that we would play well vs. Texas.  I didn't know that we would win.  I knew Texas was mortal this year.  You could see it in their play.  Their Linebackers are horrendous.

I kept posting their stats this week because I knew they had weaknesses and had to legitimize it for myself in some strange way.

I felt the magic was going to happen once the game started and never waivered.  Even after the botched fake punt, punt block, or when they came back.  My gut feeling was too strong just like it was for OU in '03.  It was weird.

I sent an email to a few buddies after that Colorado game.  I felt the kids truly believed they could beat anybody...you could see it.  They didn't flinch or blink when CU came roaring out of the gates in the 2nd half.  There were quite a few Snyder teams who would have been tight reacting to that but this team has loads of confidence in itself, it's uncanny.  And it has happened in just the past few weeks.

No.

And when IO walked into the stadium, I was sure we would lose.  Big.

Texas looked like an NFL team compared to us.  Every player looked f'ing HUGE!! And strong.  And fast.  The only thing that kept me from thinking blowout, was that Mack still roams the sideline.  He doesn't have VY any more.

Then UT took the opening drive to the house rather quickly. Then we answered.  Again. And again.  And again.  And again.

Just a great, great game.  UNbelievable.  Fantastic.

We will have a winning regular season. We will go to a bowl game. But there is one more little cherry to add to the top that will make the regular season even sweeter than it already is. That little cherry is to be had over in Lawrence next weekend.

Here's hoping the team enjoys the UT victory for 24 hours and then puts in a good week of practice and healing before the game at ku.

Go State!

Yes I told people at work on Friday that I had a feeling......then jokingly said "maybe its just gas lol".  I also had a big party at my house.  My god it was so awesome.  I thought there was a chance if everything went right that we could beat them.

Well.........almost everything went right.  I'm still riding high........wooooooohewwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BY the way it was 21-21 when I discovered by K-State flag had blown down in the Western Kansas wind.  After a run out in the dark with longer screws to repair...the big run happened. :beerchug: :dancin:   :ksu: :woohoo:

Today was the first day I had faith in the offense to score on every drive if need be. I haven't felt that way in some time.

I said all week we had a chance....everything would have to go right...and so on.

Then, I got to Manhattan on Saturday morning and just had this overwhelming feeling we were going to do it....the bravado grew with every beer I drank and the parallels to that beautiful December night 3 years ago kept piling up in my head.....by game time I was confident......after that first drive, I just told my buddy, "we got 'em right where we want 'em."

    shame on you, non-believers
Out of my entire group of friends, including me, my girlfriend of all people was the only one who had a good feeling going into the game. I'm turning her into a huge K-State fan. On the way into the stadium, she said she felt Texas would underestimate Freeman to stop the run, and it would bite them in the @ss. What a woman. What a game.

It really was the perfect storm for upset conditions.

Senior day
Home game
Nothing to lose (weren't expected to do anything--see OU '03)
ut looking ahead to aTm
Offensive confident and improving
Strong, fast D
Coach willing to take chances (B&D)
Crowd was pumped from Huggieball
ut overconfidence in their "infallibility"--its just K-State
We haven't done much varied offensively, so the tape on us was pretty limited.

I had the same type of feeling that I did in 03 against OU.

It was wierd but I figured if we worked that rollout and the playfakes texas might overpursue and we could hit some big plays.

That game was OU 03 all over again minus the defensive domination.

Most of the week.....No but for some reason Saturday afternoon some amazing sense of calm overcame me. I felt it throughout the entire game. When we got up 42-21 I knew they would make a run but I just knew we had it.

I thought we had about a 1 in 5 chance, which is still pretty good.  I had a real good feeling about an hour form game time and told a friend I was with that I thought we would win it.  I was nervous after UTs first score.  Once Freeman threw a perfect pass for KSU to answer I was sold we had about a 50-50 chance.
