More on a possible move for Beas:
Ever since the playoffs ended for the Heat, there has been growing sentiment that Michael Beasley's future in Miami is in serious doubt.
Since being drafted No. 2 in the 2008 draft, Beasley has shown flashes of talent. But he's also been inconsistent and the team could trade him this summer.
As we've previously written, Beasley's value in the trade market may only be to free up some cap space, which bodes well for Miami's plan to re-sign Dwyane Wade and sign a max free agent, but would also be viewed as a disappointment if that's all they could get for a former No. 2 pick.
But is there more than just his play that could lead to Beasley getting traded this summer?
Writes Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel: "Amid the talk of adding Chris Bosh or Amare Stoudemire, the Heat continues to view Beasley more as a power forward than small forward, which certainly leaves his future in doubt."
Previously, we've noted the Wizards could be in play for Beasley.
As ESPN's Chris Sheridan has previously written, the Timberwolves and Nets could be in play for Beasley as well.
