I have no idea when this aired but I caught the replay on ESPNU. The interview was done via telephone. The highlights:

1. He's happy for the kids that they're being rewarded and respected for their hard work. K-State has been a great program for a long time and had fallen off so he's happy for the fans

2. Being in the conversation for a #1 seed is wonderful but we're going to have to earn it in Lawrence

3. (when asked about his sideline behavior) "Kids don't respond to phoniness. Kids want discipline and direction. If you treat them consistantly they'll be consistant for you".

The host asked Doug G. after the interview why we've had so much success so fast. He said that Coach Martin recruits the type of kid that needs his type of coaching. He doesn't think that his style would work in Lawrence or North Carolina and he doesn't think that Bill Self's style or Roy Williams' style would work in Manhattan.
