I was amazed last night how difficult it was for ku to defend their home court last night against Baylor. The game was pretty much a one game possession for roughly 38 minutes last night. I guess it goes to show just how tough the Big 12 league is this year.  Interest if I'm the only one who had those thoughts last night! :kstatriot:

No they are saving Welmer's big bonus check for March 3rd.

They're an injury or sexual assault charge to Collins to being a fifth-place team. With his history, I'd say very much so.

They are vulnerable to getting very cranky if you don't validate them by watching their endless self validation video during introductions.

Drew's refusal to help uk validate themselves made Bill so mad he got distracted from coaching.  Also made the students so angry they decided not to make any noise.

Baylor rebounded well, and used a big guy in the middle that didn't score at all, or rebound much, to stop Aldrich (Luis Colon clone, except he was a white guy).  I think we're loaded for bear when we go to Phag Allen Phield Haus.

If we can beat ku's sixth man (welmer, higgins, some other shipdit) we'll have a chance.

ku shoots well at home. Their average has to be near 50 percent.

When ku needs a bucket Sherron seems to put the team on his shoulders and scores. Annoying.

I fear our guards will still not be able to keep him out of the lane, which is the only way ku can when a close game

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

    warm up the EMAW
They did zone uk the whole time I was watching.  They didn't know how to trap in it and their white goofy big man was slow and stupid though so that didn't help.

Their size and shooting is nice and they rebound, if we can rebound like them against uk then it will be a fantastic game for us considering the hopeful upgrade on defense.

with our ability to shut down the other team's best scorer, we should have a shot.  this team has relied on collins far too much to pull out the close ones.

Yep.  Our best hope (similar to OSU, but more difficult b/c Baylor is good and its in Waco) will be to beat the crap out of them physically.  Bump LaceDarius/Tweety and run them through high ball screens all night.  They have a nice trio of bigs, but after that not a ton.  Get inside the zone and attack at the rim.  Then get kick-outs and hope Pullen and Clemente have a hot night.   It can be done, but it won't be easy.  Biggest key though is to make the game as physical as we possibly can.

<----expecting to lose @ BU.  why pclams, why?  well, because BU is tall and athletic, like us but taller and better.  they aren't coached all that well (as an imo).  what does that mean?  well, i think they aren't very disciplined on defense.  well, sometimes we aren't either.  pretty similar make up of teams with BU having more talent.  as a tia, BU is the 2nd tallest team in D1.

best bet?  make it as ugly a game as possible.  but hey, as a tia, when is that not our best bet?  LMFAO right?  hope u digg.   8-)

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

It should be a hell of a game in Waco.
I never thought we would blow Baylor out, but I didn't think it would, and shouldn't have taken Sherron putting the team on his back to win it either.  Baylor is long and athletic with the exception of Lomers who is long, but probably retarded.  If Carter is doing his thing and Dunn is splashing in shots from all over the court with hands in his face like last night, they can play with anyone.  You just never know which Baylor you might get.

Clearly Baylor used dirty tactics last night
Quote
Jeff (Lawrence)

What is your take on Scott Drew's removing his team from the floor during ku's starting line-up presentation and then barking "box-out!!!" during ku's free throws??

Jay Bilas
I didn't see the line-up intros, so I do not really know what you are talking about. I watched the game with the sound off and the TiVo remote going back and forth looking at different things in the game, so I didn't hear Ron and Hubert talk about anything like that, either. If anyone on the Baylor bench was yelling during free throws to distract the shooter, they probably shouldn't do that in the spirit of good sportsmanship, but it is hardly a big deal. I'm pretty sure that some ku fans were yelling at Baylor shooters, too. Lighten up, Francis!!

hmmmm.  let's just say i think our odds are better at a sweet 16 appearance or beating ku in OOD.  in fact if we win @Baylor i will not be mad about a ku loss at home.

Yeah, I noticed the huge thread on phog about this.  Their fans are really mad that other teams won't sit down quietly and watch their sunshine pumping video.

ku only has a 53-game winning streak at home.  Obviously Allen Fieldhouse doesn't provide the same type of homecourt advantage as Bramlage Coliseum.

No it's only a home-court winning streak and you know that, stop seeking extra validation it makes you look like a beggar.
