Question about Washburn?

I didn't hear the game and I've read very little about it. All I know is that it took three overtimes to win it and we still almost lost it. It sounds like Wildcat Nation is having a stroke over an exhibition game. Here's my question.....

I hear that the Cats only played 6 players so this might have been some kind of a message sender from HCBH? I heard some comments from HCBH that made it sound like he knew what he was doing the entire time. He basically said that we ran no offense whatsoever.

Having said all of this.....What is the overall feeling right now? I don't see any reason for anyone to have taken any opinions away from an exhibition game. Am I right/wrong?

Most of the players got in the game, but about five minutes into the second half Huggins benched a bunch of players, including three starters, and finished the last 30 minutes with only six players.  Huggins said the rebounding and perimeter defense were not acceptable and indicated that he would not play players that were not ready, or willing, to play like he expects them to play.  I suspect that this week in practice is going to be ugly.  I suspect that the effort this Saturday against William & Mary will be much better.  My gut hunch is that most Wildcat fans were expecting a blowout and are shell shocked from the outcome of the game, but in the long run maybe it was just what we needed.

We shot like crap from everywhere on the court, including the charity stripe, and combined that with being allergic to rebounding.  That being said I didn't see anything that can't be corrected through effort and some coaching.  The biggest thing that bugged me (other than the defense in general) was that we looked soft both defensively and offensively.  Colon especially.
