I'm happy for Sean. It looks like Josh isn't the genius he thinks he is.

Don't think Sean is done, he made reference to getting $270k in funding if he could just get something on film and he did.  Those last two were fantastic TV.   Though ole Timmer's crew were going to mutiny once they saw their own blood, definitely some soul searching going on under the caps.  Think they bought the whole "I'll never put you in harms way again" bit, pfffftttt, yeah right.  Dudes the Steve Irwin of 'nado chasing, definitely wants to die on film for his fans.

Supposedly Sean said on facebook he will be back, fwiw. I imagine he gets a nice check from Discovery as well. Plus he can always make a second movie.

I thought the edited the episode a little weird. They made Josh look like an idiot who missed the big storm. Then at the end they were like "by the way, The vortex team was on this storm all along." I miss Josh and his arrogance.

I can't imagine the film he got could possibly be enough for an IMAX film but who knows?  Disc Channel probably just needed to at least see something out of him for more waiting and expectations.

That was a bit strange now that you mention it, though I think Josh was late to the party and only made it by finally accepting he was wrong on which one to roll with.  I think he's a bit caught up in trying to find the best storm for the day in one that nobody else likes, and it's repeatedly biting him in the ass.   So far it appears IMO that there are chasers with limited data kicking the crap out of Josh and all of his for some years now.

Strange first post, but awesome name. Sean has been filming tornadoes for 10 years now I'm sure he's got enough film for a at least a 90 minute film

Dammit I missed Ep 7 cuz I wasn't paying attention to my DVR.  I can say that Josh was def tracking the Goshen tornado because I watched the whole thing on the Weather Channel as it was happening.

I think Reed's car would have been fine if they had fixed the stupid lexan windows.  He shouldn't be relying on a motor to get those up.

However, after that thing turned into an EF-4, no car would have survived it.  They could have ended up a mile away if they were in that at the wrong time.

Glad im not the only one who watched that on the weather channel. It was awesome tv. It's not something i talk about with the bros ya know?

It was ironic the time he really needed the lexan, it didn't work. Or maybe it wasnt working the whole time, and they never mentioned it, i dunno.

Also, Josh wasn't the main guy making all the decisions on what storms to follow. He was one of Vortex 2's top guys, but they had to vote and decide where to chase. Obviously he was reluctant to go to the WY storm, cuz he knew how bad it looked when Sean go out there first.

During the first week of Vortex 2 TWC had a crew following them around doing live remotes. They ran non stop on live TV the tornado that hit Sean.

Pretty sure they had a guy following them throughout the whole thing and this was towards the end of the Vortex 2 study, but not sure.

They pretty much showed it from before it became a tornado to when it roped out. Also Greg Forbes, my hero, was analyzing the radar and video the whole time.
