Stoops Supports Embattled Ex-Assistant
Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops is standing by his former assistant and University of Kansas football coach Mark Mangino. Mangino, who is facing an internal ku athletics department investigation into alleged mistreatment of players after some voiced concerned.

Mangino has denied any mistreatment of players. "I run this program with a lot of integrity," Mangino told the Kansas City Star.

Stoops concurs saying Mangino has always been close to and concerned about his players.

Mangino served as Stoops' offense coordinator at Oklahoma from 2000-2001

Of course he would.

He doesn't want to have to hire him back on as assistant special teams coordinator. Mangino is a cancer.
