mc by convinced I mean that if he doesn't bolt for a top program in the next 2-3 years and stays at tcu then maybe he still has interest in returning to his alma mater. I do not know how things went down, but where there is smoke, there is fire. Does he have hard feelings the way things went down? Idk that is why I said I will convinced he might still come here if he stays at tcu because let's face it, sooner or later he leave tcu for a BCS program. :kstatriot:

Snyder has a 5 year contract and so does GP. Lets have Snyder get this thing rollin and get some decent HS talent in the system for a few years and then let G-Pat take the thing over like he did for Fran at tcu.

There's a reason why he hasn't left tcu yet despite significant looks from Tennessee, Minnesota, and Clemson among others. The guys wants to be back in Manhattan, at his alma mater, near his aging parents, and near his former home.

He wanted to be here in 2005 and he wanted to be here last year. We have the administration now that actually has the 'nads to make it happen.

Yep just might work out, Snyder stays at KSU another 2-3 minimum so the longer GP stays at tcu the better odds he comes back IMO.

Agree, and despite what some of our fans think, I'm not entirely convinced GP could build a program like ours from the bottom up the way Snyds can.

Give the guy a winning program, with a solid, young stable of talent and I think GP could keep this thing running for the next 10+ years, though.

Hey, I've got a better way to figure out whether or not he's truly interested in coming back:  It's called picking up a telephone and telling him the job is his if he wants it (using proper channels, of course).  The only downside to this is we might have an unfair advantage over other BCS schools that want to wait 2-3 years to offer him the job.

hey Catfan B, I've got a way to figure out whether or not Currie's truly interested in having GP come back:  It's called picking up the telephone and asking him if he wants to hire GP

LOL @ michiapplescatsy       SACRE BLEU!

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

hey pissant don't get me started on recruiting. I think it is the biggest waste of time and energy spent on these boards but I digress. Seems like every hotshot 5* recruit we ever signed was a bust and yet Snyder and Osbourne built programs with players that fit into their programs, most were 3* types. If Newton wants to come here then we will see how great he is but I myself would prefer a 3* HS QB that will be in the system for 4-5 over a 2 year player that takes 1/2 to 3/4 of his first year to figure the system and then has his senior year.

Honestly was Ell a better QB for KSU than Bishop? I say yes 1 big 12 championship to zero. Bishop was a great talent but JC QB's are a stop gap, short term fix. I have no clue about Newton do you pissant? Have you seen him play? How many hours of game film have you watched of him? Hmmmm? Recruiting services are never wrong though right? Riiiiiiiiight. Remember Marc Dunn? He was a 5* JC QB recruit we signed, I bet if you watched his 5-6 minutes clips presented by the recruiting services you would be saying we just singed John Freaking Elway :ugh:

Like I say I am pretty much done with recruiting. It bores me and I will trust the staff in signing players that will help our program win football games in the future because they actually do watch hours and hours of boring game film to find talent.

I can fully see Rusty's angle on this . . . the bad thing I don't think our new administration has the equity built up yet to make it happen.  If K-State doesn't win Sat. Night and so that means no bowl game, I personally say go for it . . . but it won't happen.

The mu game was a real eye opener for me, because that was a crap gameplan by the offensive staff, and I fear more of the same in the future as OB squeezes his angst ball over and over trying to get that running game started against a team that's absolutely stuffing it . . . 2.6 YPC . . . and 43 rushing attempts, GTFOMFWTS . . . who the hell are you Woody F'ing Hayes??
