Frank was hilarious...just cruising around the gym in his gigantic short pants with a cup of joe...shooting the crap with half the building.

Jordan Henriquez-Roberts was very impressive.  When he's running the floor it looks like he's in incredible pain, nothing could look more laborious.  However, in the half court, he's really, really quick.  He made several really agile moves to the hoop when he had the ball.  We he gets the ball he's looking to make a move and score.  On Defense, he's really active as well.  He swatted the hell out of one on the base line.

He's WAY better than Colon, it's not even close.  Lou is going to have a real tough time finding the floor this year.

Lu has five fouls to help defend Cole and Sexy Dexy.

I was there and here are my thoughts

Henriquez has ridiculously big feet, and can block some shots.  I hope he can break the big white retards block shot record.

Martavious made some nice plays and should be a good much better energy guy off the bench.

Nick Russell is smooth and has a nice stroke from outside (he may be the new Pullen in regards to receiving Martins wrath).

McGruder had a couple of nice shots

Sutton had some nice plays but can't comment on improved as he tends to show flashes then disappears, so I need to see him put about 3 games together to start talking about most improved.

Colon is slow and clumsy

Wally didn't show much but a couple of nice plays.  Did have a nice windmill dunk in warm-ups.

Curtis Kelly was my favorite and will IMO have the biggest impact this season.  He had nice low post moves and seemed to be open a lot.

Denis was Denis

Pullen was Pullen shot a little more than I wanted to see made some, had an airball from 3 pt etc etc...

Merrieweather made a 3 pointer and I

We didn't play much defense other than Henriquez and Kelly who blocked some shots.

Over all we look athletic and should be able to run the floor, I just hope the youngsters will buy into hard nose on the ball defense and rebounding so we can set up the fastbreak.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Yes it was in the video if you watched it.  I took a triple take to make sure.

Oh, I just remembered something about Wally Judge.  When they were shooting around before the scrimage he hit like 6 3 pointers in a row.  Then missed one and make another 3.  Was quite a shooting display if I do say so myself.  He could maybe play the 3 spot at times.

Jamar hit 4 of the 5 I watched him take in warm ups too.  Seemed like a much smoother stroke than I've seen.

Martavious was unconscious.  He was drilling threes.  His stroke is really slow, but he follows through at the end real well ("hand in the cookie jar") and the shot has a really pretty arch to it...as opposed to Deni who looks like he is throwing shot put.

You know else used to drill 3 after 3 in warmups?  David Hoskins.  It seems strange, but in my experience there is no indication that making 3's in warmups correlates to making 3's in games.

Yep.  I remember that he did sometimes.  Point is that everyone makes 3's in warmups.  Everyone.  Nothing can be learned about how a player will shoot 3's in a game by counting how many they make in a row during warmups.  Absolutely nothing.

It's a good sign when 6'9" forwards are hitting 3's no matter when it is.  Most guys that size don't have that kind of touch.

Meh.  I once saw Justin Williams hit 12 straight 3's during warmups.

You are right that hitting threes during warm-ups and games are completely different, but he was not just hitting them, his shooting form looked more refined.  I thought his shooting was encouraging.

Yes but did Justin Williams also then grab the basketball and throw down a windmill dunk with his head above the rim?  And make it look effortless?

i'm going to guess Samuels is going to be more of a threat than last year from distance.  since he was no threat at all last year this is not shocking.  his weight training probably helped him a lot with his shooting.

i do have to admit i was impressed ... it looked like he was doing the little 5 foot set shot warm up shots while draining 3 after 3.

I have an acquaintance who is the father of an estro-baller. She in person, saw Wally leap up and touch the top of the backboard the other day.  That's high.

If Colon doesn't Break cole's nose and knock at least 2 teeth out this year his career is a failure.
