Durham (N.C.) Patterson School small forward Dominique Sutton visited Kansas State for the school's Madness in Manhattan. The three-star rated prospect returned from the Little Apple high on what he saw, but planned on two other visits before making his decision. His next trip was planned for this past weekend to see the Kansas Jayhawks.

His other trip is to Illinois.  :hope:

Hope we can get this kid, we're up against ku and ILL, so thats some stiff competition.  Though he seems high on us right now.  How much you wanna bet if we do get him, ku will laugh and say they never wanted him to start with?

    Not A Basketball Player
ku postponed his visit last weekend to this coming weekend. I have a feeling they are waiting to hear from Singler before wasting a visit on Sutton. If KS commits to ku, there is no way that they offer Sutton. If KS goes to Duke, or somewhere else, they'll invite him for a trip. According to Sutton he already has an offer from ku, UI, and KSU, but I don't know if I believe that. It would be really nice to get Sutton and I have a good feeling that he ends up here. :ksu:

I heard that Sutton had academic problems.  Are these supposed to be serious enough for thinking twice before signing him (either ku or KSU) ... anybody know?

I've heard Sutton's CSPAN is lower than his EZSPAN but not as high as the SPAN^2 during road games that start after 8:00 PM.

 :D

Don't know about the academic problems. If ku offers, we pretty much stand no chance.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Is he considered a Really Small Forward?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Very funny, fatty.  With Huggins, I don't think you will always lose out to ku on recruits.  There's no reason a solid coach can't bring KSU back to where it belongs in the college basketball world.

And, for the record, my stats don't include any boring cable channels covering Congress ... it's cPSAN :)

I almost hope that Singler will commit to ku so that Suttons scholly would be used so that we could get him.  I don't really see Illinois recruiting him away from us.

Then I smack myself and instead hope that neither Singler nor Sutton goes to ku.

Seriously though.  I'm slightly confused.  They didn't have a scholly to offer Reed because they had run out.  Then they lost one because of the NCAA sanctions.  And suddenly one pops up for Sutton?  Wtf?

ku would probably be the only real competition.  Illinois can't recruit anyone nowadays, or so it seems.  Self is a damn good recruiter :yuck:, but I think it'd be hard to convince Sutton with a half-hearted scholly offer (Uh, yeah, we have one for you, if this other kid decides not to use it first) and no immediate playing time (although it wouldn't look great for KSU either with both Beasley and Walker playing the forward position.)
