Well, well, well...looks like some of you have some apologizing to do to not only Grant Gregory, John Houlik, and the team, but Bill Snyder as well.  Last Saturday's game proved one of many things, but the most important one is this:  You give Bill Snyder a bunch of four/five "heart" players and they will beat the jam out of a bunch of spoiled four/five "star" players.  End of story.

But, while Saturday was great, it was again marred by our so-call "great" fan base.  Where are our priorities?  When half time came around it sure wasn't focusing  on the game, it was on pouring more and more alcohol down your throat.  Is your life so sad that KSU football isn't enough?  Do you have to get drunk every time you go out in public?  It got me thinking we should change our nickname from Wildcats to Boozecats.  The energy in the stadium perceptibly dropped at half and never returned.  Bill Snyder Family Stadium could be an amazing home field advantage, but our student section would rather drink beer in a parking lot.  Only if that was an NCAA sport, then we would have the greatest attendance in the nation.

To combat this problem, I think we should stop handing out passes at halftime.  Or if we do, it should cost at least ten dollars to get back in.  Do you think "big time" programs let half of their stadium leave at half and then come sauntering in half-way through the 3rd quarter?  No they don't.  It looks embarrassing on TV and hurts our recruiting.  (I thought you guys were all about getting these "big name" recruits?)

Where are your priorities?  Mine is with the 'Cats!  Why is yours at the bottom of your Bud Light can?

Dude we were up 38-0 at half. The game sort of petered out by this time... What do you have against people going out to slam a beer and coming back? Doesn't make sense.

Also, Boozecats

+2.  We need to make this happen.  I'd donate $100 on the day they changed the name and buy at least:

1.  Boozecat Hoodie
2.  Boozecat Football Long Sleeve T-shirt
3.  Boozecat hat
4.  Boozecat Basketball Hoodie (has to be rad); and
5.  4 Boozecat car flags.

I see tremendous opportunity here.  Cann you imagine the thrill that would run through the crowd when at the beginning of the game the announcer shouts "Guess what time it is?"  And this flashes up on the jumbotron:

^but in purple and 'catted up^
while the crowd shouts the reply in unison.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Clearly some people missed the DoD.

News flash:  people will stick around in the 2nd half when it really counts.  That might even happen this year, maybe even starting this weekend.

I didn't care where everyone went at half.  I didn't realize that the people in front of me were great wind break. I was ready for them to come back drunk or not.

Damn, I couldn't hate people like this more.

Jezus Christ.

Phuck-stick alumni of this ilk are, among countless other things, what drives recruits away.  I understand there are people who enjoy fresh-from-the-oven white bread, summer sunsets over the prairie, Psalms and The Lawrence Welk Show re-runs on cable, but they are not Division I recruits.

Focus on getting Washington to adopt the public option and shut the hell up about how others chose to spend their time at the game.  You're welcome athletic department (Grant Gregory, Bill Snyder, et. al.) for our continued financial support where ever we are on the planet.

Screw Carrie Nation.

back in '88...we were hostin' Austin Peay and we were an underdog. Booze was all we had.
I think it stems from that.

Not as much before '89, but the Ath. Dept. itself began to highly encourage student drinking right around the time Snyder showed up.

It's also worked for ku this decade.

If you really believe that fan enthusiasm helps the team, then there is no way to deny that drunk fans are far better than sober ones.

You get hammered during halftime and part of the third quarter while listening to the game.  If it's close, you get the hell back in there and cheer your ass off.  If it's not, then it doesn't really matter and you might as well keep drinking and talking to the girls.

Taking away halftime passes is the absolute dumbest idea I have ever seen on here.
