http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/sports/15825214.htmThe 64,657 on hand for Missouri’s 41-21 dismantling of Kansas State in Columbia on Saturday may have witnessed seeds sown of a personal rivalry between Mizzou and K-State freshman quarterback Josh Freeman.
In the midst of Missouri’s first-half goal-line stand, MU safety David Overstreet said he heard Freeman saying something to the MU players — Overstreet wasn’t sure what — between plays.
“I told him, ‘Go back in the huddle, man,’ ” Overstreet said. “ ‘We don’t have time to be friends out here.’ ”
Freeman, who committed to Nebraska and then switched to K-State, took a recruiting visit to MU.
“I told him, ‘You should have come to Mizzou,’ ” Overstreet said.
