You can't be racist and like basketball.
Momentum is incredibly overrated in football.

No it's not.

The times KSU has had the most "momentum" in a game...we've lost.  Vs. OU in 2000 after the punt block, and @CU in 2002 after two huge Roberson and Sproles runs...

Why didn't it matter?  Momentum doesn't affect good teams*.

*Mizzou is a good team.

We don't know if it affects them. We didn't get the momentum. We had a chance to get the momentum and we screwed the pooch. Instead MU got the momentum and built on it.

We had plenty of momentum to start the game.  It obviously didn't affect them too much.

Not enough momentum. They weren't going to fold after one little downer. Momentum is not gained on one play. I've studied momentum. I know momentum.

I think momentum can be important in football, but it has less (or shorter) effects both on the road and against quality teams.  IMO had we scored to go up 14-3 or even 10-3 we still likely lose that game.  In all likelyhood probably 31-21 or something like that.   I thought even more important than missing the shot inside the 10 was coming out and turning the ball over 3 times in our first 4 plays to start the 2nd half.  IMO that had a much bigger role in what the final score was than another missed red-zone opportunity.

Now this team must learn from it and move on realizing we have some very winnable games coming up if we fail to make the mistakes we made in Columbia.

    The very best.
Momentum is cool and all, but the game isn't 15 minutes long.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I'm now glad taht we didn't score that TD.  Think about how much more plssed people would have been if we lost after blowing at 14-3 lead.

So sorry that you "bought in bad" to Prince. Most of us aren't surprised by what we are seeing this year.

HAHAHAHAHAHAH... Fatty you're such a drama queen.  Remember this post:  http://www.ksufans.com/forums/index.php?topic=3358.0 ?  I ran into a number of others where you teeter between loving Prince and hating him.  Why don't you pick a perspective and stay there, you change your mind more than Mark Mangino at a buffet.

I doubt Mark Mangino is too picky at a buffet. I'm pretty sure his thinking is a lot of everything.
