This shows something that we've known all along. from 1950 to 1990 ksu was on par with our foul feathered neighbors to the east. this is something that bentard, squaksmith and the other squawks in squawkville will once again try to deny in their quest for validation. unfortunately tan tom along with timid timmy and squire wefald all but crushed the program into oblivion. here's hoping that mr currie can get the ship corrected. from what i see so far...i'm impressed. what say you doc squawksmith i know you are watching. Hoax-you or bigjretard need any validating? better run off to squawkville. :bye:

Great post, Daris.  It's reality like this that is always tough for the validators to swallow.  Crazy to think had it not been for the travesty under Wefald’s leadership allowing K-State basketball to fall of the face of the national landscape for 20 years post 1988, we would be ahead of Oklahoma State.  There’s no debating it.

All in all, good company, IMO.  And just goes to show you the strength of the program and overall top notch eliteness we can still be proud of in roundball.  Even after two decades of non-competitiveness we are still ahead of Missouri.  Still.

Of those that made the rankings in the Big XII.

1.   ku (3)
2.   Oklahoma State (18)
3.   Oklahoma (20)
4.   Kansas State (27)
5.   Missouri (29)
6.   Texas (47)
7.   Colorado (51)
8.   Iowa State (52)
9.   Nebraska (57)
10.   Texas Tech (89)

West Virginia (36)

As a guy in his lower 20's, I never saw a good K-state team growing up. As far as I knew, we sucked. This is the reason I appreciate Frank so much.  :kstatriot:

I think K-State is ranked about right, but there are some other jokes out there.  First, its tough for me to rank Kansas ahead of North Carolina.  More egregious is Missouri.  Ahead of Providence? Georgetown? Arkansas? Arizona? UConn? St. Joes? UNLV? Xavier?  Missouri has never been to even a Final Four.  Its almost defying the blind squirrel theory at this point.  Illinois at 6?  Iowa at 10? Minnesota at 16?  All of them above Michigan State?

There is a lot of crap that makes you shake your head with these.
