I'm going to be attending the game on Saturday.  I don't know many K-Staters in the area.  I wanted to find out where ppl are going for pre-game.
Thanks

I'd much rather have a 69 year old coach than one that weighs 400+ pounds.

I grew up in LA, if you dont find any other KStaters to chill with, go to the 3rd st Promenade in Santa Monica... very nice place to hang out - its sort of like a stretched out Aggieville (about 3 blocks long). Also UCLAs version of Aggieville is called Westwood Villiage - a LOT of fun, a little pricey (just like every other place in LA) but it's right there in the middle of the action; get there early or cab it as the parking situation is impossible at night. HIGH probability of celeb sightings there too - I have seen MANY! Stay away from Hollywood at night - ESPECIALLY West Hollywood aka "Boys Town" you might run into Ben "BMWJayhawk" there flaunting his goods.

All-in-all, it should be a fun time - as you have heard; stick with friends and dont run off with anyone as the predators will be out.

Also...the official KSU pre game party should be at The Brookside Country Club Club House. It's near the NE corner of the stadium. I would imagine there will be a ton of KStaters hanging out in that general area.

Why the tourist info for someone that currently lives there?

hey there.  my wife and i (graduated in 03) are going by ourselves.  are you in la?  shoot me an pm with your email and hopefully we can work something out, as we'd like to tailgate.  also, if nothing else, there is some sort of "official" ksu tailgate near the stadium that costs around $50 i think.  i'll forward that to you as well once you send me your email.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Also...the official KSU pre game party should be at The Brookside Country Club Club House. It's near the NE corner of the stadium. I would imagine there will be a ton of KStaters hanging out in that general area.

Anyone know if you can pop into the club house for a pre-game cocktail without paying the $36 for the official KSU event? TIA

Not sure, but probably not. KSU has probably rented out the entire place for their pregame party and you would need a wrist band or other type of pass to get it.

But...from what I understand there is a little booth or stand up in that same general area that does serve drinks on gameday. I have not been up there to check it out myself, but have heard from many Bruins it does indeed exist. From what I've heard, it's just north of the stadium. Other than that, there is nothing anywhere near the stadium to get alcohol....you'd have to you bring your own.

Can't we just stop by your tailgate and drink some of yours?
