a new coach will probably be allowed to make room for a few additional scholarships, but i'm not sure it will be as easy as y'all think. afeli i doubt very much will be interested in transfering, and i believe that even if he is "forced" off the team but stays at KSU he would stay on scholarship and count against the available scholarship total. if not, afeli would end up not graduating and i can't imagine the AD would be happy about a new coach placing himself at risk of failing the APR guidelines before even playing his first game.
allen, yearby, kent - it probably wouldn't be too hard to pressure at least one of them into leaving if that is what the new coach desires. it would be even easier to discourage williams from honoring his LOI.
frankly, i'm not sure KSU is a better team in '06-'07 by ditching one of the above 4 for a 2nd and/or 3rd available recruit in this class. i'd worry more about 2007 if i were the incoming coach.
