Actually Zimmerman looked to be one of the top 2-3 players out there. He had a really good game.

    Gettin' angried up!!!
Dude looks like a pretty nice athlete.  No reason to think he can't contribute down the road.  Specials teams, maybe?

Not as a player!

Overall, I was impressed with Zimmerman (sorry for making fun of you before Zims!). Built very well. Legit 6'2" & pretty thick. Did look the best fit out of all the players fwiw. He started at QB (never really threw it, just ran a couple of QB draws and handed off the ball) and was one of the three captains for his team. Pretty athletic kid (top athlete in the SB). Not the best runner though so whatever position we do put it him at hopefully doesn't involve any moves, etc.

Had six punts for an average of fifty yards. One punt of 61 yards, one of 65. Really boomed the 65 yard one and it went in the endzone (would've gone further).

Played a couple of plays @ safety (didn't do anything). Did have a tackle on special teams after he punted it he ran down the ball carrier (knocked him out of bounds, didn't really tackle him).

Happy with what I saw from Ty. Let him grayshirt this season then stick him @ safety or TE & I think he could contribute somewhere down the road.

Also, there was a player from Manhattan (#15, didn't get his name). Played safety, looked pretty athletic & really got into the game, maybe a little too much :ugh:. Heard he was walking on to the team but not 100% sure.

That's all folks!

It's a tremendous challenge here. I think it has the opportunity for the greatest turnaround in college football. It is not one to be taken lightly. ---------- Bill Snyder ( Nov 30th, 1988)

I went too.  Three of the most boring hours I've ever spent watching football.  I'll never go to another Shrine Bowl.  It was horrible.

I don't know why the West played Snodgrass as much as they did.  Zimmerman was much better.  Wasn't that him that punted the ball 61 yards too?

Yeah, it was. Check out the recap that I had of the game & him above.

Was very boring. And could you believe all of the trouble that they had with the clock? I was about to leave after the tenth time they asked to put more time on the clock. :shy:

The next Jordy Nelson?   :ksu:
I'd much rather have a 69 year old coach than one that weighs 400+ pounds.
