sorry but going out and getting JC's does not solve the issue. This is not going to happen overnight. Building an OL is not just about talent it's about the system and time in the system. JC's are usually picked up for depth in the first year and hopeful they can "get it" by their 2nd or 3rd year(if they have more than 2X2). Be patient. Louisville did not build that OL overnight.
And it's not just about 5 players. Most of your better programs will have a 2-3 seniors starting, 2-3 juniors starting, and 1-2 sophomores and or rs-fresh starting. That is why there is not a huge dropoff from year to year.
Believe it or not we can get it going in the right direction next year w/ some our young players who are getting reps right now like Rooker, Unruh, Stringer, etc. They were not going to go out there and start kicking ass in year one. A few of those guys start to "get it" and then you start adding the young players. It will look better next year but not a finished product, not yet.
