Dude looks solid.
Has some legit, high level BCS pedigree. Was a major player with Pitt's resurgent basketball program and was instrumental in key facilities projects. Is now the second in command at NU's AD, operating the 4rth highest annual budget in the Big XII.
On the surface, Boehm doesn't strike me as some small time, bean counting douche nozzle like Timid Tim Weiser. You know, the guy who's previous stops were Emporia State and CSU and who thought the Fort Hays State approach was good enough to compete in the Big XII.
Boehm played a central role in the development of the Panthers’ new athletic facilities. He was a principal planner for the football team’s move into the UPMC Sports Performance Complex and Heinz Field. Boehm additionally is a chief overseer of various aspects of the Petersen Events Center, the University’s new convocation center and basketball arena. Boehm joined the University of Pittsburgh in May of 1997 after spending the preceding five years as associate executive director of the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, one of college football’s most prestigious postseason games. At the Fiesta Bowl, he was instrumental in building the community and marketing programs. He helped pioneer the Fiesta Bowl’s move into the Bowl Alliance (which later evolved into the Bowl Championship Series) and worked with the collegiate community in the operation of the game and its 40 other community events. In addition, Boehm directed and managed a 125-member fundraising committee of Arizona business leaders that was responsible for generating more than $4.5 million in cash and in-kind partnerships. Before his stint at the Fiesta Bowl, Boehm served as associate director and public relations director of the Sun Bowl, from 1987 to 1991. He was a sports information assistant at the University of Florida in 1986-87.s
