Prince's next calling card.  From OL guy, to QB guy.

"That offense" is one of the concerns scouts have with Freeman, as his success came out of the spread and against questionable Big 12 defenses.

This guy doesn't pay much attention does he?

no, clearly he doesn't.  though i give him credit for knowing Freeman came out of the big 12.

Glad the Chefs grabbed Cassel.

IMHO, Cassel is going to be a huge bust. Cassels success had more to do with the team around him then him actually being an above QB.
I think The Chiefs would have been better served keeping that 2nd round and trying to grab Freeman with it.

QFT.  Cassel has always had tons of talents around him, at both levels.  I'll be very surprised to see him be successful with the Chiefs, but I'd be surprised if anyone could be.  But he's still a hell of a lot better than any QB they had in camp, and a second rounder for Cassel and Vrabel was a steal.  What are the odds of you getting two definite starters (and possible impact players) with that draft pick?

It's reassuring to me that the guy that scouted Cassel, as well as Tom Brady, and was as close as anyone to Cassel last year still wanted him after becoming GM for the Chiefs. It's also reassuring that his offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach thought he was a better qb than Jay Cutler.

Freeman's ability to step up in the pocket and complete throws with defenders grasping him

That's the only way he was going to be able to complete any passes.

The New York Jets, Chicago Bears, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tennessee Titans have all displayed extra interest in Freeman.

Bears or Titans would be decent fits, especially the Titans.  Both teams are used to meh at QB.

It's reassuring to me that Freeman won't be anywhere near the Kansas City Chiefs this season... or the 2nd round for that matter.

You do have to take into account how stupid McDaniels is.

I enjoy the poorly written article.

Quote
While he lacks Sanchez's high-profile status, scouts rank Freeman higher in nearly every physical characteristic and acknowledge he has nearly twice as many career starts (32) as the former Trojan (17).

I guess he expected to go to the scouts and be all "Freeman started more games" and they would be all "bullsh*t he does!" then they reluctantly accept it.
