sums up the ineptitude of the Griefs.

The Chiefs blew a 20-6 lead in a game that featured three — count ’em — three missed extra points. The Raiders had already wrapped up their playoff spot; and so they started an obscure backup quarterback named Mike Rae, who led the Raiders back. He also offered the money quote: “What the hell,” he said. “It was just a practice game.”
That period in the 1980's when I was still a Chiefs fan was particularly LOLer's. What an absolute textbook example of ineptness and inattentive ownership.
My gawd, it is almost shocking how superior several of the NFL's expansion teams have been compared to the Chiefs since those expansion teams came into existence. Just 3 years after coming into being, and after a dreadful start the Bucs were in the playoffs> The Panthers have only been in existence since 1995 and they've already been to a Super Bowl, and played for 3 NFC championships and are in the playoffs yet again (and play in a privately funded stadium).
Meanwhile the Hunts have soaked up somewhere around $600-$800 million in taxpayer money since they built Arrowhead either in new construction costs covered by the taxpayers or stadium maintenance covered by the taxpayers and they still put a $hit product on the field ... in an era when the NFL does every thing they can to bring equality to the league.
Jerry Jones is LOLers because he just tries way to hard, and is micromanager . . . but give the guy credit, he does everything he can right or wrong to try and have a champion in Dallas and he's still got 3 Lombardi trophies of his own, and he's putting up nearly $1 billion of his own money for their new stadium.
I guess we're going to find out real soon just how serious Clark is about winning . . . but odds are that Hunt bloodline kicks in and he'll have the Chiefs doing just enough to put a new carrot on that stick for their fans.
