All Rise... The Judge is in the house.
He looks so much better than last year... Still looks sloppy but he is making much better choices with the ball than he did last year.

I'm pretty sure "Luis Colon" is Spanish for "George Hill"

i know most hate him, i kinda do too, but he looks like a completely different player this year.  If he improves as much this season/offseason he could be a good contributor next year.

Not completely different.  Still awkward, but this year it looks like he is less afraid to play and not as prone to crapping down his leg.  Leaner too.

If you saw Luis in person or on TV tonight, you probably gained a LOT of confidence in our coaching staff.  I did.  Dude looks like a solid reserve.  Toward the end of last season, he looked like a complete waste of a scholarship.  Pretty clear that our coaches know how to teach fundamentals and get good effort.  AMAZING game from the cats tonight.  Wow.

No doubt.  IMO Lou could give us some Justin Williams-esque minutes this year.  Looks like a competent player out there.

lol @ hyper reactive ksu fans.

If by good touch you mean touching the ball with his fingers rather than rebounding it, then yes.

Too bad he's starting for us.  Is Anderson in the dog house, or is Lou just outplaying him in practice?

QFT.  I just have always thought that Ron appeared to have better idea of how to play the game than Lou does.  Maybe all that work Lou has done is really paying off.  Hell, I'd be more than happy if this is the type of production we get from the two of them.  Now, I'd like to see Abdul more, I couldn't really get any feel at all for his game tonight.  I imagine he was a bit nervous tonight, but he's a huge bastard.  Seems like he could come in handy down the road, he's supposed to be a defensive presence inside.  Having a third body to throw at Griffin would certainly help things.

he did his weekly: take first shot, miss off side of backboard, get board and put back in.

How the heck does a 6'10" guy hit the SIDE of the backboard from five feet?

Best moment of the game.

Second best was when the ref was practically dancing over the blocking call towards the end.  He did, if I counted correctly, 6 one legged hops in calling the foul.

This was indeed classic.

    Hey, basketball!!!
That's why Huggins & Crew recruited Colon, because of his potential.

And finally we have the head coach & assistant coach to bring that out of him.

Now that's how you get out a f***ing blood stain.
he's always had good touch.

lol @ hyper reactive ksu fans.

tru.  i've always been comfy w/him shooting the 15' j

i think colon's greatest improvement is his ability to defend w/o fouling.  if he can continue that against legit bigs then i'll be impressed.

True.  Frank always says a foul is just lazy defense.  (Something along those lines anyway.)  Guess Lou is able to move better now, and he certainly is hustling much more this year.
